IPASS ( Incentive Program Awarding Student Success ) provides recognition and incentives to students in high needs schools. IPASS is based upon research conducted by Harvard University EdLabs. A five city program demonstrated the effectiveness of using incentives to help students build positive behavior and lifelong learning habits. Sometimes homes do not recognize students for their achievements and unfortunately high needs schools have limited or restricted resources. In the past year IPASS has helped schools and students improve attendance, homework, effort and behavior. With IPASS students earn daily points for a specific behavior then exchange their points for an incentive of their choice. IPASS is seeking funding ($3,000 ) for a high needs school of 500 K-8th grade students for the 2014-2015 school year. For more information go to www.ipassbook.net
