Help Ice Hockey at SFSU

By Andrew Duenes

Ice hockey at San Francisco State is entering is second year of play in the PCHA. We are a division 3 team and find ourselves playing schools like Stanford and UC Davis. We are currently having trouble adding the money together for this second year of play and need help paying for ice time, referees, and trainers. As a requirement this year San Francisco State is requiring us to have trainers on site in case of injury. These trainers will be essential to make sure that no one on the team could possibly remain in a game that him/her shouldn’t. The problem with having these trainers is they do not come cheap. We are having trouble coming up with the cash to pay for them. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will go directly back into the program to help us continue to do what we love. Our season will kick off again on September 27th vs San Jose State in Fremont. Our current home games will be played at Oakland Ice Center in downtown Oakland. We are currently displaced as our former home rink at the Cow Palace was shut down earlier this year. We look forward to playing another great season of Gators hockey and hope to see you there!
